At DNASTREAM, we’re proud to support our apprentices as they develop their skills, build their careers and contribute to projects across the business. Each apprenticeship journey is different, bringing together university studies and practical experience in the workplace.

Following our last catch-up, we’ve reconnected with Jem and Kayleigh to hear about their progress over the past year, their achievements and what’s next for them at DNASTREAM.

How Have Their Apprenticeships Progressed?

For Jem, our Digital Marketing apprentice, the past year has marked the completion of his studies at London South Bank UniversityAfter a busy final year, including many late nights working on his dissertation, he achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Digital Marketing, graduating in October 2026.

Jem also completed his End Point Assessment, reflecting on the launch and promotion of DNASTREAM’s Ascend service and his role in leading the marketing activity around it.

"It has been wonderful to see the development and growth of our apprentices from new recruits to valued colleagues, as they thrive through working with experienced professionals across the company. We look forward to onboarding our next recruits in the new year. " Andy Milner - Managing Director at DNASTREAM

Kayleigh, our Project Management apprentice, began her third year of studies at Coventry University in September. She has been studying Portfolio Management and Benefit Realisation and will soon move on to Risk Management, building on her existing knowledge and finding opportunities to apply what she learns in her role.

Alongside her university modules, Kayleigh is beginning to prepare for her exams at the end of the academic year, balancing her university commitments with her responsibilities at DNASTREAM.

Highlights From Their Work at DNASTREAM

Over the past year, Jem has continued working within the marketing team on a variety of projects and preparations for the events DNASTREAM has attended. From promoting services to supporting event activity, his role has given him the opportunity to put the skills developed during his degree into practice.

Kayleigh has continued to develop in her role as Customer Service Support Coordinator within James O’Loughlin’s team. She has supported the transition of Ascend AMS customers into application support, with three customers moving into support coverage over the past few months.

Through her work, Kayleigh is also gaining experience in managing multiple projects at the same time. She is continuing to develop her skills in prioritisation, communication, planning and coordination, while applying the knowledge gained through her degree to her day-to-day role.

What’s Next for Jem and Kayleigh?

Having completed his apprenticeship, Jem is continuing his position within DNASTREAM’s marketing team. He is looking forward to taking on larger projects and building on the skills and experience he has gained over the past three years.

Kayleigh will continue her studies at Coventry University alongside her role at DNASTREAM. With her Risk Management module and exam preparations ahead, she is looking forward to developing her knowledge further and applying it to her work.

We’re delighted to see how much Jem and Kayleigh have achieved and how their experiences continue to contribute to DNASTREAM. We’d like to congratulate Jem on his graduation and thank both Jem and Kayleigh for their hard work. We look forward to seeing what they achieve next.
